Well we are having a great time but the internet connection here is very sporadic and very expensive so I won’t be able to post each day as I had hoped. It often drops out three or four times before I can even get a page open let alone post or email. Hence the lack of daily updates as originally planned!
Our first days at sea have been just lovely and very relaxing. Its so good to be back on board a ship again! In between the gym, Zumba & Hawaiian dance classes, a tour of the galley, sushi demonstrations and port lectures, we’ve been lazing about up on deck watching the islands of Japan float by in the distance. Its just beautiful!
The early mornings are great. I am up early, head up to the horizon court and make a cup of chamomile tea then down to promenade deck to watch the sun come up… theres only a couple of us out that early, I love the sound of the ocean in the dark, then watching the sun come up… perfect way to start the day.
The days have been quite humid which has been a surprise for this time of year. There are over 900 Brits on board the ship and a mix of people from all over including many Japanese.
Today is our first port day to Kanazawa. If I can get this posted then I’ll head up for my sunrise walk, have breakfast and then we get off the ship at 7.30 for a full days tour. Hopefully this post goes up and a few pics. If I can get connected to the internet then I’ll post again tomorrow.
