After disembarking from the ship we had a great drive to Rome and then we took a hop- on-hop-off bus to get a bit of an overview of the sights. We were on the bus for a couple of hours but I’ve only posted a couple of pics as we went back visit many of the places later on.
Just up the end of our street about 1 minutes walk away is the Presidents place. Our hotel is just to the left of this pic next to the building housing the Carbineri / Police – so there are lots around but its very relaxed and you can just walk around the place freely.
A few blocks from there is the Trevi Fountain – there were heaps of people!! Its much, much bigger than I expected – really beautiful but huge.
We walked back around the corner to our hotel, via the Piazza del Quirinale at the top of our street.
