Arrived in Singapore yesterday and spent the day walking around the streets. Lots of beautiful old buildings, shops and friendly people. We visited little crowded stores and huge modern shopping malls. Love the variety of shops here. We visited one huge shop selling just gold jewelry. Huge heavy gold necklaces, earrings and rings, lots of indian ladies buying gold, dressed in stunning saris. No photos allowed unfortunately.
The heat and humidity is hard to take as we have both been crook with the flu so we had an early night and cranked up the air conditioning.
