Since we left Yokahama a few days ago another Supertyphoon has developed, even bigger than the last one. It was projected to hit the exact area where our ship was cruising so our itinerary was changed to just two ports of call for a half day each, one here, one in Korea, with the rest of the time at sea. Of course the situation is fluid and we’ve had some changes since then and it is now too dangerous to go to Korea – the typhoon winds are the equivalent of a grade 5 hurricane. There is talk it could upgrade to a ‘monster typhoon’. Yesterday our itinerary changed again – so it’s a bit like a mystery tour! 🙂 So we spent yesterday in Kobe and today we go about 2 hours to Osaka. Princess have handled it all very well and I would certainly travel with them again. We’ve been compensated nicely for the disruption to our tour so – looks like we’ll be taking another cruise next year. So far our arrival date for flights back home should not be changed.
